I attended the Gabby Bernstein Event!

 

 I am really proud of myself for attending this event! Yep, happily giving myself a high five! It was the first time that I walked into a big event with over 1000 people since the SAH (brain hemorrhage). I had anticipation, yet excitement. Due to still having symptoms of photophobia, big lights, or strobing light can be a lot for my brain to process and very quickly can create fatigue if too much. So I took my awesome noise canceling headphones and was able to sit comfortably and enjoy all the wonderful nuggets that @gabbybernstein shared with us. 


There were so many insightful words of guidance  that Gabby shared with us. She also provided the opportunity for a group of people to share something that was triggering them and Gabby provided some tools for each person to take away with them. There were some really raw and beautiful moments shared in that space. 


Some examples that may be helpful for you - 

YOU MANIFEST WHAT YOU BELIEVE. Let that land with some honesty!!

When feeling triggered or some childhood or old wound presents itself, do these three steps.

  1. Choose to check in.

  2. Become curious.

  3. Compassionately Connect (What do you need?)


Healing is moment by moment and it comes with a willingness to change. You do not need to rip the bandaid all off at once. Honour the part of you that has been through a lot. 


Procrastination - defense mechanism. If you don’t show up, I cannot fail. Hello Procrastinator part of me______________________ (journal see what comes out). Ask the part, become curious about the blockage. What do you need to write now? 


Shift has to come with a willingness to change. It takes a lot when we claim it. however , when we do, no matter how subtle - it is all positive navigating. Even if it is a gentle, slow or subtle process, you can be the guiding force. 


YOU MANIFEST WHAT YOU BELIEVE. 

Let those alignments be spiritual proof.

WHO AM I IN THE WORLD NOW?

Two choices - can stay stuck / or look within, how can I be of service. 

Act on inspired thoughts - happens when we are aligned. We have to choose ourselves. BELIEF.

A YES FOR WHAT IS POSSIBLE. AND CHOOSE AGAIN.

Remember when certain triggers kick in - That is not who I am, but what I am feeling.

SAY YES - LIVING YOUR LIFE THAT IS A DREAM, SAY YES YES YES.

Should be Elevated, Grounded, Excited.

  • WHO DO I WANT TO BE TODAY?

  • WHAT DO I WANT TO FEEL TODAY?

  • WHAT DO I WANT TO GIVE TODAY?

  • WHAT DO I WANT TO RECEIVE TODAY?

The biggest takeaway though, was that I did not feel any guilt or shame for wearing the headphones and looking different. This is what I needed to do and I leaned into it accepting all of my authentic neurodiverse self. I got a couple of interesting glances, but I loved the fact I was around some gorgeous women, friends who I come to adore who accept me who and where I am today! It was an awesome day!❤
